This is a part-time project-based WordPress developer position. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience building websites using WordPress and be familiar with popular plugins like WooCommerce and page builder tools like Elementor.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their website vision and translate it into technical specifications.
  • Design and develop the website’s front-end for a visually appealing and user-friendly experience.
  • Architect the website’s back-end infrastructure, including database and server integration.
  • Create custom WordPress themes and plugins to extend website functionality.
  • Conduct performance tests to ensure the website loads quickly and functions smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any website content or functionality issues.
  • Train clients on how to use and manage their WordPress website.
  • Monitor the website’s live performance and address any problems that may arise.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a WordPress developer.
  • Experience with WooCommerce, Xero, Gravity Forms, WPBakery Page Builder, and Elementor Page Builder Plugins (a plus).
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery).
  • Experience customizing plugins and themes to fit project needs.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git.
  • Experience using debugging tools like Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
  • Strong understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
  • Project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
